BEING TRANSSEXUAL AND LIBERTARIAN: TAKING OWNERSHIP OF MY BODY

The basic principles of the libertarian philosophy are to seek to maximize political freedom and autonomy, emphasizing freedom of choice, voluntary association and individual judgment. This is why I believe that being a transsexual  woman is the most libertarian thing I could ever do in my life; and why I believe that libertarianism should appeal more to transsexual women.  The idea that we own our bodies; that our bodies are our private property should appeal to transsexual people. This, along with the strong belief of being anti-war, was one of the key deciding factors for me on becoming a libertarian. Individual freedom is the defining aspect of libertarianism. Being a transsexual is a radical  act of individual freedom, and being libertarian is a radical school of thought. Not only are you taking ownership of your body, but you are taking ownership of who you are.  This is who we are and we are owning it. It's nobody's business what we do with our bodies or what ...

Return to Mother Earth

As the seconds go by, day after day, I am really disgusted by the direction society has taken. It has shifted its gears down a long, ugly road at maximum speed. There's no car in the world that has this amount of horsepower.  How did we all get here? It's as if I fell asleep and woke up to this huge fucking mess. A nightmare that will never end. The decades upon decades of dirty politicians that people like George Orwell and Dr. Hunter S. Thompson warned us about that we were too ignorant and full of our own shit to listen to. Instead, we turned a blind eye and created a cancer that we are in the thick of right now. We treated Mother Earth like shit, and now she's pissed. She's spreading her wildfires and unleashing her Karma in the most mysterious of ways.  The shit show of this whole pandemic is what we get for relying on our government to make our healthcare decisions, among every other aspect of our lives. It is the direct outcome of government becoming ...

GIRLS LIKE US

It's time I shift focus. Bitching about the president is not good for me. I could do it day after day, getting absolutely nowhere except for a stay at the mental hospital. Politics are bad for my mental health I am learning day after day (actually I've known it for years, I'm just a stubborn bitch). They make me turn me into a borderline manic freak, exposing the real Dr. Jekyll and Mrs. Hyde. But of course I want to use my voice and try and change the world. Will I ever change the world? No, probably not. I'm just another person writing on the internet. Everybody these days is a 'writer'. There's so much content out there that the chances of your work being seen is next to none, and speaking of content, don't even get me started on tv. There's far too much tv these days, how the hell hell do people keep up? Oh that's right! Netflix, Hulu, Amazon! You can binge endless amount of tv until you singe out your eyeballs and they melt in a puddle of ...

STARMAN

Today marks the third-year anniversary of David Bowie leaving our planet. I originally wrote this farewell letter to him when he first passed away. ★     ★     ★   ★     ★     ★   ★     ★     ★   ★     ★     ★   ★     ★     ★   ★     ★     ★   ★     ★     ★   ★     ★     ★   To the man who fell to earth, to Major Tom, to Ziggy Stardust, to the Thin White Duke, to the Goblin king; you have me at a loss of words. To the man who showed the small town girl trapped in the wrong body that gender is pliable and plastic, flexible like puddy; all I am able to conjure up is “thank you.” I know just a simple “thank you” isn’t enough, nothing I will write or say will be enough to describe how much you meant to me ...
